The log cabin hotel is a completely different experience to your normal hotel, slap bang in the middle of the countryside with stunning views down the glen, yet only 20 minutes from major towns with all the shopping and night life that they offer. Our twenty two year old daughter took numerous photos of the log cabin hotel and has been face booking all her pals about it. Staff deserve a special mention from the moment you arrive until you leave they could not do enough for you, again you do not get this level of service from the big hotel chains. To sum up if you are looking for something different from the norm try this hotel, you will remember it for a long time, if you are taking children with you they will be amazed. Almost forgot the facilities in the rooms are good, with bath tv comfortable beds heating and tea and coffee facilities, bar and lounge area superb with pool and darts and a young kids play area- Booking.com Review (Nov 2011)
The Log Cabin Hotel has been taken over by new management. We stayed there last week end and found it was a lot better than it used to be. The heating is on all the time for a start, and that makes it toasty warm when you come in from the forest. Being a log cabin it's always had that extra special something but now the big open log fires are burning all the time and they've put in lots of big comfy couches, rugs and throws(from Ikea it looks like). The whole place has a trendy retro boutiquey feel, like something out of a 70s cinzano advert. They are very kid friendly, they even have a games/play room where you can park the kids and the bar is open all the time, result!- TripAdvisor Review (Nov 2011)
